Old Economy Village – Overview of Coopering Tools and Techniques

Old Economy Village will have 19th century trade demonstrations and other exciting activities every Saturday from April through September.  The Harmony Society had cobblers, woodworkers, basket weavers, coopers, blacksmiths, and many others.  Today a trade such broom making, basket weaving, printing, or something else will be featured.  The demonstrators will be available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  To enter the Village, Visitors must first pay admission at the Visitor Center, 270 16th St., Ambridge, PA 15003.   If people want to wander through the grounds and focus solely on the trades and crafts they are allowed to do so with a regular admission fee.
