Both curved and straight blade draw knives are used to shape the staves.

CROZE

The croze is used to cut the croze (groove) into the inside of the assembled staves which will hold the bottom disc.

Coopers Plane

The planer is used to taper and miter the staves for a bucket or firkin. An inverted block plane with a mirror sharp blade works well.

SCORP

The single handle scorp is used to reach into buckets to finish shaping the staves.
